And after a year and a half of a free account, upgraded to a paid account today, and bought 100 extra pictures. I've been having the best time going to LJ icon sites and finding icons to use [almost all of which I remembered to credit....].  People have a lot of skill with this icon-making; I'm really curious to know how to do it, and what kind of software I'd need. If there's anybody out there who can enlighten me, that would be great.  

Tomorrow, besides the joys of housework, I'm going to have a look through all the journal styles - now all miraculously available to me - and see if there is anything better than I've already chosen.  I really like the one I've got, but I would hate to find that it is inferior to another!  

Am reading Barbara Kingsolver's The Poisonwood Bible.  I started it twice before and didn't like it, but this time it's really caught me. 

Poor John has the most swollen, painful knee.  I swear that the surgery in 2006 did nothing to help him. Poor guy.
